Decatur Lifesavers
Al and Jeanne LaVie were the recipients of Stephen Decatur High Schools newly formed "Decatur Lifesavers" Red Cross Club's first local outreach project. The club volunteered to come out to the LaVie's home and do exterior painting, clean the gutters, redo garden beds, cut branches, small trees and overgrowth from around the house and do much heavy lifting. Club members were joined by club advisor Ryan Cowder and club organizers Alison Sappington, Patti Miller and Madalaine How, as well as parent volunteers.
