OCEAN CITY- The first-ever Winterfest of Lights Jingle Bell Run is set for this Sunday, December 2 at Northside Park in Ocean City.
The Ocean City Recreation and Parks Department is partnering with OC Tri-Running to sponsor the inaugural Winterfest of Lights Jingle Bell Run. The event, which begins at 5 p.m. on Sunday will take place at the Winterfest of Lights in Northside Park on 125th Street in Ocean City. The race will take runners through the animated course of dazzling lights and spectacular displays. Race participants are encouraged to dress in the holiday spirit and will receive an event shirt, a glow necklace, hot chocolate and a ride on the Winterfest Express.
The cost of the event is $25 for adults and $20 for children under 12. Awards will be given to the winners in a variety of age groups. Due to the event, the first Winterfest Express tram will be delayed until roughly 6 p.m. for non-race guests. With more than one million holiday lights sparkling through Northside Park, the Winterfest of Lights Jingle Bell Run is going to be unlike other holiday races.
