BERLIN- Decatur’s varsity softball team trounced Wicomico, 8-2, on Tuesday in season opener behind a strong performance by Jessica Iacona on the mound and at the plate.
Iacona went the distance on the mound, allowing just two runs and scattering nine hits while striking out six. She also helped her own cause with three hits, two runs scored and three RBIs at the plate. Jessica Bunting and Taylor Black also contributed with two hits and two runs driven in apiece.
