OCEAN CITY- For the third straight year, the Ocean City Recreation and Parks Department won the town's employee softball league title, downing the Ocean City Beach Patrol 2 team, 16-6, in the championship game.
Each summer, employees from the various town departments compete in a summer-long softball league with the winner owning bragging rights for the entire year. Meanwhile, men's fall softball league is now underway with a handful of teams emerging as early leaders. In the Atlantic Division, the Triple Baggers are unbeaten at 4-0, followed by Explosion and Island Café 1, which are each 3-1. In the Bayside Division, there is a three-way tie for first between Abba Bail Bonds, Island Café 2 and High Stakes/Seacrets, all at 3-1.
