BERLIN- Stephen Decatur's boys' varsity lacrosse team rebounded from an opening day loss on the road to Easton last week by trouncing Cambridge-South Dorchester, 18-0, at Seahawk Stadium on Friday.
Decatur played well in the opener against Bayside North power Easton, but fell short to the Warriors. Last Friday, the Seahawks were clicking on all cylinders as they rolled past Cambridge-South Dorchester in the home opener. Curtis Snyder led Decatur with four goals, while Brendan Wagner and Johnny Moore each scored three goals. Kyle Gilbert and Dominic Quattrini also contributed two goals apiece in the win.
The Seahawks travel across town tomorrow to compete in the Worcester Prep Invitational before returning home next Wednesday for a game against James M. Bennett. At the Bennett game, the Decatur lacrosse boosters will continue their season-long fundraising effort with more raffles at halftime. Being raffled at halftime of the Bennett game next Wednesday will be a long board from Chauncey's Surf Shop valued at $180 and with a $25 gift card from the Greene Turtle along with some apparel.
