Ocean City Elementary School's First Grade

3/21/2008 | By The Dispatch Staff

Ocean City Elementary School's first grade held their choral concert, 'Character Chorus,' on March 11.  The songs and dialogue focused on good character traits and making smart choices.  The children learned through these songs that when we choose our friends by character, we choose the best friends.  When we understand that we all have feelings, we choose not to hurt others.  They also learned that it's never too early to start learning good habits, because good choices will then come naturally when we're older.  As one of the closing lines stated, 'Self-discipline and character aren't measured on a test, but when we practice all these things, we're sure to do our best.'
