Buckingham Elementary School in Berlin, Maryland has a K-Kids Club, the elementary school version of Kiwanis International. The Kiwanis Club of Greater Ocean Pines - Ocean City is the parent and sponsoring club for the K-Kids of Buckingham and donated $500 to the K-Kids on Wednesday February 23 at the weekly meeting in the Ocean Pines Community Center. Pictured are (L to R) Kiwanis Club President Roy Foreman and teachers Julie Young and Debi Wooten who are the advisors for the K-Kids at Buckingham and help to direct the children in their after-school efforts. Buckingham's K-Kids do various fundraisers every year. Last school year the Buckingham K-Kids Club raised over $5000 in support of Relay for Life in the fight against cancer. They are some of today's youngsters learning how to volunteer and perform community service. Kudos to Buckingham.
