Berlin Dolphin Cadets Roll, 28-6

Berlin Dolphin Cadets Roll, 28-6

BERLIN- The Berlin Dolphins youth football teams split a pair of games last weekend with the Cadets rolling past Princess Anne, 28-6, and the Juniors falling to Pocomoke, 19-6.

The Berlin Dolphins play in the Salvation Army League against teams from all over the Lower Shore. The Cadets, ages 7-10, beat Princess Anne last week with a stellar performance on both sides of the ball. The offense scored on its first possession to take an early lead and never looked back, scoring 28 answered points. The Cadets' defense was equally impressive, allowing just five first downs all day while swarming to the ball and gang-tackling. Princess Anne scored on the last play of the game to avoid a shutout.

Meanwhile, the outcome was not as good for the Berlin Dolphins Juniors team, ages 11-13, which fell to Pocomoke. Pocomoke scored first, but Berlin answered to make it 6-6. However, Pocomoke scored two more touchdowns to take the 19-6 win.
