Decatur Volleyball Remains Unbeaten

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur's varsity volleyball team remained unbeaten this week, beating Worcester County rival Pocomoke in three straight to improve to 5-0 overall on the season.

The Seahawks cruised Pocomoke in three games, beating the Warriors by scores of 25-6, 25-14, and 25-8. Janet Davidson led the way with 33 service points, including 12 aces, along with 17 assists. Always steady Holly Melson contributed with seven digs and five kills, while Casey Ortiz had two digs and two kills and Julia Miller had five kills.

With the relatively easy win over Pocomoke, the Seahawks improved to 5-0 overall on the season including a 2-0 mark in the Bayside South conference. They currently share first place in the Bayside South with James M. Bennett, which is also unbeaten on the season.
