John Staley Recognized As Resort's Citizen Of Year

BERLIN - Long-time local resident and community activist John Staley this week joined distinguished company when he was named the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year for 2007.

Staley moved to the resort area in 1982 and has been active in municipal government, many civic organizations and church groups ever since.

In addition to receiving the Citizen of the Year award on Wednesday before a packed house at the Clarion, Staley was also honored with a proclamation from the city declaring April 26, 2007 as John Staley Day in Ocean City.
