OCEAN CITY- Resort police are looking for a suspect in the reported rape of a recent college graduate early last Saturday morning on the porch of an unoccupied house on 13th Street.
The 22-year-old victim, in Ocean City celebrating her recent college graduation, reportedly left the Party Block on 17th Street around 2:15 a.m. last Saturday and began walking south of Philadelphia Ave. The victim was then approached by an unknown man, forced onto the porch of a nearby unoccupied house on 13th Street and raped, according to police reports.
The suspect has been described as a black male in his early 20s, roughly 5'10' with loose cornrows parted in the middle and down to about his ears. At the time of the attack, the suspect was reportedly wearing a dark T-shirt, light-colored jeans and light colored sneakers. The suspect was seen fleeing on foot in the direction of the Seascape Hotel.
The OCPD is urging anyone with possible information about the suspect to contact the Criminal Investigation Division at (410) 723-6604, or Det. Todd Speigle at (410) 520-5353. For more information, see tomorrow's print edition of The Dispatch.
