OC Rec Basketball Action Continues

OCEAN CITY- The Ocean City Recreation and Parks Department’s boys’ winter basketball league continued this week with a full slate of games at Northside Park. The following is a quick look at some of this week’s action:

(bullet) Ocean City Lions Club 30- OC FOP 24: Josh Kleinstuber scored 16 points, while Tim Roberts scored eight and Sam Cannon added six to lead the Lions over the FOP. Allen Justice scored 14 points for the FOP in defeat.

(bullet) Dr. William Allen 31- Bonfire 16: Zachary Mushrush led all scorers with 11 points while Aaron Moore and Khaalid Collick added six each to lead Dr. Allen’s team to victory. Montez Green led the Bonfire with six points.

(bullet) Atlantic General 34- Nantucket’s 22: Matt Lecompte led AGH with 14 points while Wyatt Richins scored 12 and Charlie Pritchard added eight. Garret Tinus scored eight points to lead Nantucket’s.

(bullet) OC Rec Boosters 24- OC/Berlin Optimists 22: Darion McKenzie and Tate Shockley scored nine points apiece and Luke Buas added six to lead the Boosters over the Optimists. Billy Wheatley led the Optimists with 10 points in defeat.

(bullet) La Hacienda 17- Trimper’s Rides 17: The two teams played to a 17-17 deadlock. Matt Kristick led LaHa with 11 points, while Spencer Carbaugh scored four and Evan Conboy got on the board with a deuce. Mark Smith led Trimper’s with eight points while Andrew White pitched in six.

(bullet) Red Sun Apparel 39- OC Rec Boosters 38: In perhaps the best game of the week, Joe Flounlacker scored 12 points and Parker Kreppel added 10 to lead Red Sun over the Boosters by a single point. Timmy Vanvonno led the Boosters with 15 points, while Collier Donald added nine.
