2/01/2008 | By News Editor, Shawn J. Soper

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur's boys' and girls' varsity basketball teams continued to slide this week with each team falling to county rival Snow Hill on Tuesday.

The Decatur boys' got plowed by county powerhouse Snow Hill, 104-44, on Tuesday as five Eagles scored in double digits. Snow Hill is now a perfect 15-0 overall on the season including an 11-0 record in the Bayside Conference. Andrew Brickey led the Seahawk scorers with 13 points.

The loss dropped Decatur to 3-14 on the season including a dismal 1-10 record in the Bayside Conference. The Seahawks won two games in the Crisfield Holiday Tournament in early January and its only other win on the year came against Washington on January 8. Decatur plays Parkside on the road tonight before returning home against North Caroline next Tuesday.

While it has been another tough season for the Decatur boys, the Seahawk girls have also struggled. The Seahawks lost to Snow Hill, 35-26, in a low-scoring game on Tuesday to fall to 2-12 on the year including a 0-10 conference record. Their only wins thus far have come against Cambridge-South Dorchester and Delaware's Indian River. The Seahawks play North Caroline and Crisfield next week.
