BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s unbeaten varsity wrestling team will face perhaps the last major obstacle for a perfect season when it faces always-tough Reservoir at home on Saturday.
The Seahawks have been tough all year on their way to a perfect record in team competition. According to Coach Todd Martinek, standing in the way of a possible unbeaten season is Reservoir, which travels to Decatur tomorrow night for the annual showdown. Last year, the Seahawks rolled past Reservoir, 56-15, in the annual home and away series started a few years back. Reservoir comes in with an impressive record of 9-2 this year. Martinek said this week the key matches for Decatur will likely be Nate Rosenblatt at 113 and Adam Bargar at 195. The varsity match is set for 5 p.m. at Decatur right after the Senior Night awards are presented.
