BERLIN- Worcester Prep’s boys’ varsity lacrosse team rebounded from a dramatic triple overtime loss to neighborhood rival Stephen Decatur last week by splitting its next two games to improve to 12-3 on the season.
The Mallards had little time to dwell on the tough loss to the Seahawks last Wednesday with Virginia prep lacrosse power Paul VI visiting on Friday. Worcester played well against the Panthers throughout the game before falling 10-6. On Monday, Worcester bounced back from two consecutive setbacks by trouncing host Sussex Tech, 14-2. The Mallards were scheduled to wrap their regular season with a Senior Day game against Delmarva Christian on Wednesday. The ESIAC tournament gets underway next week.
