Berlin Dolphins Remain Unbeaten

10/29/2010 | By Shawn J. Soper, Sports Editor

BERLIN- The Berlin Dolphins youth football leagues continued their unbeaten seasons this week with the Cadet Dolphins blanking Pocomoke, 19-0, and the Junior Dolphins routing Princess Anne, 53-0.

The Cadet Dolphins got Pocomoke down early, scoring on their very first possession, and never looked back, cruising to the 19-0 win to improve to 5-0 on the season. The Cadet team led 13-0 at the half and turned it over the rest of the way to the defense, which forced four turnovers. Berlin's Terran Wright ran it in from 25 yards out for the Cadet's final touchdown of the day to make it 19-0.

Meanwhile, the Junior Dolphins also enjoyed a huge day, routing Princess Anne, 53-0, behind an offensive outburst and a stingy defense. The Junior Dolphins are now also 5-0 on the season. Seven different Dolphins scored touchdowns in the rout including two by Aaron Waples. Also running for touchdowns during the rout was Donnie Haggins, Jermaine Fosque, Justin Meekins, Tyree Adams and Sam Coates. Colton Lohnas also threw a touchdown pass to Tripp Orteaga in the big win.
