Junior Dolphins Improve to 4-0

10/22/2010 | By Shawn J. Soper, Sports Editor

BERLIN- The Berlin Junior Dolphins youth football team remained unbeaten this week, coming from behind to beat the Salisbury Terps, 20-7, to improve to 4-0 on the season.

The Terps scored first on a nine-play, 85-yard drive to take an early 7-0 lead, but that was the only score the Dolphins would yield all day. Berlin scored in the second quarter on a 25-yard touchdown pass from T.J. Scarfone to Tripp Ortega, but the extra point failed and the Terps led 7-6 at the half.

In the third quarter, Berlin's Colton Lohnas scored on an 18-yard TD run to put the Dolphins ahead, 13-7. Lohnas rounded out the scoring with an eight-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to put Berlin ahead for good at 20-7. The Dolphins came up strong after yielding an opening drive touchdown, including a couple of goal line stands late in the fourth quarter.
