BERLIN- Decatur’s girls’ varsity lacrosse team rebounded from an early season setback to rival Parkside last Friday with a decisive 16-2 win over Bennett on Monday.
After beating Cambridge-South Dorchester, 16-0, in the season opener last week, the Seahawks found themselves in a huge early season game against rival Parkside last Friday. The Seahawks fell to the Rams, 12-3, as Parkside took early control in the Bayside South standings.
Decatur rebounded quickly from the setback, however, thrashing Bennett, 16-2, at home on Monday. Ashley Trice led the offense with four goals and an assist, while Jamie Parker scored three times and added an assist. Decatur got balanced scoring from up and down the roster with three players, Layla Fowler, Annie Brown and Erin Florek, each scoring two goals in the 16-2 win.
