Decatur, Parkside Dominate Bayside South Team

BERLIN- Two teams, Stephen Decatur and Parkside, dominated the All Bayside South team girls’ varsity lacrosse honors for released this week.

Decatur, which went 10-5 on the season and reached the state Class 3A-2A East Region title game before falling to Queen Anne’s, placed eight players on the All Bayside South team. Parkside, which went 11-2 this season and won the Class 2A-1A East region before falling in the state semifinals, placed 11 players on the team, while Bennett placed one.

The representatives from Decatur included attackers Layla Fowler, Erin Florek and Kayla Terlizzi. Also included from Decatur were midfielders Eileen Hayman and Ashley Trice, defenders Brianna Carroll and Ali McLoota and goalkeeper Kaitlin Hardt.

Parkside’s representatives included attackers Caroline Carozza, Logan Bounds and Anna Davis; midfielders Brie Custis, Erica Hitch, Syndey Langeler, Brittany Keidel and Alyssa Sherr; defenders Alexis Roscovich and Breck Sullivan, and goalkeeper Bethany Davis. Bennett’s lone representative was midfielder Kelsey Vincent.
