BERLIN- It was win one, lose one this week for Stephen Decatur’s boys’ varsity basketball team, which beat Northeast in the first round of the state Class 3A-East region tournament last Friday before falling to Atholton on the road on Tuesday.
The Seahawks entered the 3A-East region tournament as the number 12 seed, but upset fifth-seeded Northeast on the road, 65-54, on the road last Friday. Back in action across the bridge on Tuesday, the Seahawks fell in the second round to host Atholton, 73-56, to close out the 2011-2012 season.
