OCEAN CITY- Rommel's Ace Hardware captured its second straight Ocean City Recreation and Parks Department Adult Indoor Soccer League championship last week after battling back from the loser's bracket to beat Nick's House of Ribs twice.

Defending champion Rommel's Ace beat Real Azteka, 12-4, and Surf Sessions, 9-8, in the first two rounds to set up a third round match-up with Nick's. However, Rommel's lost to Nick's, 3-2, was sent to the loser's bracket where it began a long trek back to the finals. Nick's, meanwhile, crushed Caruso's Pizza, 11-1, and beat Sunsations, 7-4, before its first win over Rommel's.

After Rommel's lost to Nick's, it beat Sunsations, 7-5, to get another shot. Rommel's would have to beat Nick's twice to earn a second straight championship. Rommel's beat Nick's, 7-5, to set up a third meeting between the two teams for the championship. In the title game, Rommel's beat Nicks again to claim the championship.
