BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s varsity volleyball team took a quick exit from the state Class 3A-East Region tournament, falling to Reservoir, 3-0, at home on Monday.
The Seahawks finished the regular season with a 12-3 record and earned a number-three seed and a first round bye in the Class 3A-East tournament. Decatur stumbled at home on Monday, however, dropping three straight to Reservoir to bow out of the tournament. The only other Bayside Conference team in the 3A-East tournament, Bennett, also took an early exit, falling to seventh-seeded Howard, 3-0, on Monday. The Seahawks turned in another highly successful season in 2011, finishing with a 12-5 mark.
