8/21/2009 | By The Dispatch Staff

The Community Garden of Ocean Pines, governed by a board of directors and board of advisors, has a section dedicated to the Plant A Row for the hungry program. Ed Kriege, a member of the board of advisors for the garden, initiated the idea three years ago of donating the produce of Plant A Row to Diakonia. Pictured above, back from left, are Kriege, President Bob Shayer, Treasurer Bill Mundie and First Vice-President Sam Schwartz Master Gardener; front, advisors Betty McDermott, Sharon Connelly and Joan Gentile. Not pictured is second vice-president Lee Phillips.
