4th graders learn about Maryland natural resources

11/07/2008 | By The Dispatch Staff

Fourth graders at BIS have been learning about Maryland's natural resources and their importance to the state's economy. Students were to use an artistic technique to show a natural resource found in one of Maryland's three geographic regions and write a descriptive paragraph identifying how it is used and the types of jobs this resource creates for many people. Above are Olivia Bescak with a 3D apple orchard, Christina Romano with a milk jug dairy cow, Allison Cordial with a beachy cake, and Garrett Tinus with a piƱata style Rockfish.
