Fourth grade student Katie Mitchell in Sarah Tilghman's class at Ocean City Elementary School wrote a letter inviting Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley to visit her class during American Education Week. O'Malley was unable to attend but he asked E.C. Townsend, Regional Director of Maryland State Department of Education's Department of Rehabilitation Services (DORS) for the Eastern Shore, to represent him.
