Up and Down Week for Seahawks

4/27/2007 | By News Editor, Shawn J. Soper

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur's men's varsity lacrosse team had an up-and-down week this week, falling to rival Parkside, 9-8, in double overtime on Monday, before venting some frustration on North Caroline with a 22-3 win on Tuesday.

Decatur's record on the season now stands at 6-2, with the only two losses coming to old nemesis Parkside. The Seahawks lost to the Rams, 13-7, back on April 10 and fell again this week in a heartbreaking double-overtime loss.

The Seahawks wasted little time erasing the pain of Monday's loss to Parkside, thrashing host North Caroline, 22-3, on the road less than 24 hours later to get back on the winning track. Sean McGarry led the Decatur onslaught with six goals, while Logan West and Paul Kramer scored four goals each.

Decatur faces Queen Anne's at home this afternoon and will play Cambridge on the road on Monday.
