OCEAN CITY- The Ocean City Recreation and Parks Department's men's winter basketball league continued this week with a full slate of games at Northside Park. The following is a quick look at some recent league action:
Seacrets 114- Atlantic Orthopedic 71: Anthony Sturgis went off for 41 points and Curtis Chandler added 37 as Seacrets rolled Atlantic Orthopedic in a high scoring game. Kimball Witcher added 14 points in the victory.
Wisemen 60- Young Assassins 50: Torrez Spence scored 17 points, Keith Wise added 15 and Larry Tyre pitched in 11 as the Wisemen prevailed over the Young Assassins.
Seacrets 68- Croc's 39: Sturgis led all scorers with 21 points while Curtis Chandler added 17 as Seacrets continued to roll. Kevin Davis led Croc's with 11 points.
Three Brothers Pizza 87- Kirby's Pub 54: Shaun Johnson scored 16 points, Marion Brown added 14 and Jerrel Harmon contributed 13 as Three Brother's beat Kirby's. Billy Lancaster scored 21 points and Kevin Henson added 12 for Kirby's in the loss.
Wisemen 67-Atlantic Orthopedic 66: The big three Wisemen- Larry Tyre, Keith Wise and Torrez Spence- paced their team's victory over Atlantic Orthopedic with 19, 17 and 14 points respectively. Craig Haueisen led Atlantic with 18 points while Ernest Shockley pitched in 16.
Three Brother's 65- Young Assassins 54: Sherron Mills went off for 25 points to lead Three Brothers over the Assassins. Donnie Jenkins also contributed with eight points.
Kirby's 59- Croc's 40: Kevin Hensen led Kirby's with 19 points and Billy Lancaster added 15 as Kirby's got by Croc's. Kevin Davis scored 18 for Croc's in defeat.
