Ocean City Elementary School held the May Student of the Month luncheon to honor the students who were chosen by their teachers because they follow the rules, do their work, and are kind and helpful to others. The pre-kindergarten classes from Ocean City Elementary School recently went to Assateague State Park to learn about the different animals that make their homes there. Students were shown different animals in the nature center and then went to the beach for a scavenger hunt. Stephen Decatur High School business teacher Kurt Marx and his investment students were recognized by the Worcester County Board of Education on May 15 for a combination of shrewd investing and a little bit of luck. Bess Cropper's second grade class at Ocean City Elementary School braved the cold windy weather at Assateague Island to learn more about oceans and beaches. The field trip to Assateague was a culminating activity for their oceans and beaches unit in science. Worcester Prep second grade students from this year and last year under the direction of teachers Angie Bunting and Jennie Frostrom baked more loaves of bread than they can remember for their Kids' Bread Sale. During the sale, the students sold slices of wheat bread, white bread, cinnamon bread and raisin bread for 25 cents. Punch and spreads for the bread slices were free. The 72 students in the four classes earned $447.37 and they decided to donate it all to the Atlantic General Hospital....
