BIS Fifth Graders Visit 18th Century Ship

Fifth grade students at Berlin Intermediate recently took a field trip to Salisbury to learn about the 18th Century sailing ship, The Sultana, which was docked in the city harbor. Above, Macy Dolan and Kayla Lorance pose for a moment to display this 18th century device, a Sextant, that helped the navigators  locate their latitude and longitude based on the angle of the sun
