Black Friday Rock Tourney Underway

OCEAN CITY- Local anglers hoping to avoid the crowds and holiday shopping this weekend and perhaps win some money instead of spending it are participating in the second annual Black Friday 550 Rockfish Tournament, which got underway this morning out of the Ocean City Fishing Center. Deer Firearm Season Opens Tomorrow

BERLIN- Maryland's traditional two-week firearm deer season opens tomorrow across the state, including Worcester County, with a total harvest over the next two weeks expected to approach 45,000. Hunters across Maryland, including Worcester County, will take to the woods early tomorrow morning with the opening of the deer firearm season. The OC Riptide under-13 boys' lacrosse team got the Thanksgiving holiday off to a great start last weekend, running the table to capture the championship in the Megalax Cold Turkey Lacrosse Shootout at the Crown Sports Complex in Fruitland. OCEAN CITY- There's a new champion in the Ocean City Recreation and Parks Department's Fall Flag Football League after Schell Brothers knocked off Buxy's, 38-20, in the championship game last Monday, ending the Salty Dog's four-year hold on the title.
