Matilda Elizabeth Wilkins
OCEAN CITY - Matilda Elizabeth "Betty" Wilkins, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at her granddaughter's home.
Born in Ocean City on June 1, 1920, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy Gordon.She was the great granddaughter of the late Daniel and Margaret Trimper
and served on the Windsor Corporation (Trimpers) Board of Directors. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's by the Sea Episcopal Church, having served on the Alter Guild, St. Clare's Women's Guild, Chicken and Dumplings Committee and taught Sunday School. She was also a life member of the Ocean City Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and a charter member of the American Legion Post 166 Ladies Auxiliary.
She was a graduate of Ocean City High School. Throughout her life, she was a successful businesswoman, having owned several businesses in Ocean City, including the Surf Villa Hotel and was co-owner of the Cork Bar. She was also a generous philanthropist and financially supported the Autistic Children's Support Group of Worcester County and Atlantic General Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50-plus years, Maurice Wilkins, and her daughter, Sharron Wilkins Lewis. She is survived by her beloved son, William Gordon Wilkins and his wife Martha; a son-in-law, Ben Lewis; five grandchildren and their families, Cheryl Nottingham and her husband Mike, Wendy DiBuo and her husband Tony, Mike Lewis, Billy Wilkins and Tiffany Greenwood and her husband Bill. She also leaves behind 19 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; and her devoted pet dog, Bailey.A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's by the
Sea Episcopal Church. Derrickson Paul Littleton
LIBERYTOWN - Derrickson Paul Littleton, age 69, died Sunday, March 1, 2009 at his home in Libertytown.
Born in Libertytown, he was the son of the late Ralph and Belva Bethards Littleton. He is survived by 11 cousins and several nieces and nephews.
Littleton had been a farmer, cattle and poultry grower. He had been a member of the Worcester County Farm Bureau.

Michael Scott Craft
SINGER ISLAND, Fla. - Michael Scott Craft, age 47, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 at his home in Singer Island, Fla.
Born in Bethesda, Md., he was the son of the late Stanley Clark Craft and is survived by his mother, Bonita Lee Wise and her husband Gary Ivan Wise of Ocean Pines.
Along with his mother and step father, he is survived by two sisters, Kimberly Renee Craft of Belleville, Ill. and Jennifer Ann Really of Berlin; paternal grandmother, who just celebrated her 100th birthday, Iva Craft of Hanover, Pa.; and two nieces, Ashlee Bowlin of Florida and Melissa Bowlin of Illinois. There are three aunts, Mary Margaret Craft of Landisburg, Pa,, Esther Miller of Yorkhaven, Pa, and Beth Fay of East Berlin, Pa.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 7 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Berlin. Rev. Michael Moyer will officiate. Inurnment will be in St. Paul's Episcopal Churchyard. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 3 Church St., Berlin, Md. 21811 or to the Wellness Community of Delmarva, 1506 S. Salisbury Blvd., Salisbury, Md. 21801. Barbara P. Riley
SLISBURY - Barbara P. Riley, 71, of Ocean City, died Friday, Feb. 27 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Pauline (Tubbs) Parsons.
She was the Resident Manager of the Beachcomber Apartments in Ocean City for over 20 years and was an avid Nascar fan. She was a mother, sister, aunt and grandmother who adored her five grandchildren and will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
She is survived by a son, Ricky Riley of Clearwater, Fla.; three daughters, Lynne Barton of Ocean Pines, Sharon Walsh and her husband J.J. of Berlin and Annette Cropper and her J.L. of Ocean City; one sister, Geneva Jones of Parsonsburg; and five grandchildren, Jordan Burton, Blakely Walsh, Hannah Walsh, Drake Cropper and Caroline Cropper.

Betsy Wood Forte
OCEAN CITY - Betsy Wood Forte, age 74, died peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2009 at her home in Ocean City.
Forte had been the owner and operator of Betsy Forte and Associates and had been the Public Relations Director for Goodwill Industries. She was a member of the National Press Club.
She is survived by her children, Victor R. Forte, Jr., Elizabeth Satrom, Susan O'Neill, William A. Forte and Sally Stermer and three grandchildren.
Cremation followed her death. A private memorial and interment will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements are being handled by the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.
Betty Ann West Lowe
BERLIN - Betty Ann West Lowe, age 80, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born in Snow Hill she was the wife of the late William Lowe, Sr.
Lowe was a resident of Catered Living in Ocean Pines having recently
moved there from Myrtle Beach, SC. She had been a homemaker and had formerly worked in customer service with Delmarva Power and Light for 17 years.
She is survived by her son, William Lowe, Jr and his wife Kerry of Middletown, Del.; a brother, Paige West and his wife Lois of Pompano Beach, Fla; and nephews, Dana West and his devoted companion Sharon of Whaleyville, and Todd West and his wife Mary of Pleasanton, Calif.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 2 pm at the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin. Inurnment will be at a future date in Southeastern Memorial Gardens in Myrtle Beach, SC. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Horse Lovers Unite, Attn: Lorraine Truitt, PO Box 2744, Salisbury, Md. 21802.
