Decatur Boosters Tourney a Success

BERLIN- The 10th Annual Stephen Decatur High School Athletic Boosters Golf Tournament played at Eagle's Landing on Tuesday was once again a rousing success with over $17,000 raised for the Seahawks sports program.

For the record, first place, low gross went to the foursome including Chuck Davis, Darryl Greer, Butch James and Kenton Moyer with a 59. First-place, low net went to the team of David Wells, Jason Cole, Curtis Lester and Will Degroft with a final score of 52.8. Second-place net went to the team of Rob Cole, Billy Wells, Matt Summers and Shawn Bunting, while third-place net went to Bob Booth, Doug Bailey, Lee Venables and Donnie Lejeune.

Fourth place went to the foursome including Charles Smith, Rich Carrano, Ron Few and Joe Jankowski, while fifth place went to the team of Bob Hammond, Joe Andrews, Sal Dinardo and Tom Perlozzo. Closest-to-the pin awards went to Will Degroft (5th hole), Joe Sise (8th), Alex West (12th) and Tim King (17th). The men's longest drive award went to Steve Mentz, while Jenny Sullivan won the award for ladies' longest drive. Dr. Phil Spinuzza took home the men's straightest drive award, while Sandy Galloway won the award for ladies' straightest drive.
