BERLIN- Stephen Decatur's varsity football team took a tough loss last weekend, falling to visiting North Caroline, 20-19, in a game of missed opportunities and a hard lesson learned.
The Seahawks led early, watched North Caroline score 20 unanswered points, and made a furious late comeback attempt before turning it over in Bulldogs' territory with the clock running down. The Bank of Ocean City continues to sponsor the live broadcast of Stephen Decatur High School's football games on WQMR 101.1FM this season. Additionally, the bank is presenting a weekly plaque to the MVP of each game as well as making a $50 donation to the football program's athletic boosters. Stephen Decatur High School senior Bonnie Eisenman was named a National Merit Semifinalist on Sept. 16 by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). To be considered for a Merit Scholarship award, semifinalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to the finalist level.
