Worcester Prep First Graders Learn About Spanish Surrealist Painter

First grade students in Rebecca Tittermary's classes at Worcester Preparatory School discussed the work of Spanish surrealist painter Joan Miró i Ferrà and then created original artwork inspired by Miró's paintings, which have been called 'poetry of color'. Above left, Anna Dashiell contemplates ideas for her painting drawing. Above right, Teague Quillin does his sketch with marker and is about ready to add all sorts of vivid color to his work.
