Petty Officer Second Class Christopher Chavis from Berlin has been awarded the Junior Sailor of the Quarter for October-December 2009 and Junior Sailor of the Year for 2009 aboard the USS San Antonio in Norfolk, Va. He graduated from Stephen Decatur High School in 2000 and has been an active duty member for the U.S. Navy for seven years.
