BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s girls’ varsity lacrosse team got its promising 2011 campaign off to a great start this week with a big 11-9 win on the road against Bayside North power Easton in the season opener for both teams. Last year, the Seahawks won the Class 3A-East region and advanced to the state’s Final Four before bailing out in the semifinals. SNOW HILL- The late Allen Miller, long-time Snow Hill High School teacher and coach who passed away unexpectedly last fall, will be honored with a first-ever memorial golf tournament in his name next month. BERLIN- Berlin native and Stephen Decatur graduate Ashley Moreck will be competing in the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Championships in Wisconsin this weekend after a strong showing last week in the regional meet.
