AGH Holding Open House

BERLIN – Atlantic General Hospital has extended an invitation to the community to join community leaders, local advocacy organizations and staff members in celebrating the completion of its new Outpatient Infusion Center with an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, April 7.

The new outpatient infusion center, which provides chemotherapy services for cancer patients as well as general infusion services for individuals with autoimmune issues and blood disorders, opened its doors in late February after nearly six months of construction.

The center offers a comfortable and spacious environment for treatment in an atmosphere that encourages healing; it is an initial step toward building a new comprehensive cancer care center that will include radiation oncology and holistic therapies to help patients wage the most effective war against cancer right here in the community.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the Outpatient Infusion Center at Atlantic General Hospital’s dedicated cancer care team, take tours and view the Oncology on CanvasSM display, an art exhibition honoring the journeys people face when confronted by a cancer diagnosis. The exhibit, which is touring communities nationwide, showcases select pieces of art from the 2010 Oncology on Canvas competition.

The open house will take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on April 7. A formal ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. For more information about the center, call 410-629-6400.
