The Eastern Shore Association of Health Underwriters (ESAHU) recently donated $500 to Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore. In celebration of Earth Day 2011, Grow Berlin Green partnered with local students to produce original artwork to promote the benefits of recycling. All fifth through eighth grade students from Berlin area schools were eligible to enter by submitting original work of art that promoted recycling and was made primarily from recycled or recyclable materials. The United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore presented the Delmarva Boy Scouts with a check for $43,000 to help fund educational and leadership activities for boys ages 6-17 as well as a Scoutreach program for at-risk youth. The Boy Scouts have received $868,843 in funding from the United Way since 1983.
