SALISBURY -- Allegiant Airlines this week announced it will soon offer new, nonstop jet service between Salisbury and Orlando, Fla., beginning in February with one-way fares at just under $60.
Allegiant officials on Wednesday announced the addition of a new service between the Salisbury-Ocean City Wicomico Regional Airport and Orlando-Sanford International Airport beginning Feb. 16. The company, known for its exceptional travel deals, will introduce the new service with one-way fares as low as $59.99.
“We’re pleased to bring an affordable and convenient travel option to Salisbury,” said Allegiant President Andrew Levy. “We are confident that the residents of Maryland’s Eastern Shore will appreciate flying nonstop to Orlando and take advantage of the great deals we offer on hotels, car rentals and theme-park tickets.”
The Salisbury-Ocean City Wicomico Regional Airport is the only airport with scheduled airline service on the Delmarva Peninsula and therefore is the hub of air transportation for the whole region.
“Our new partnership with Allegiant gives families a much-welcome link to America’s favorite tourist destination,” said County Executive Rick Pollitt. “We welcome Allegiant with open arms and look forward to many years of mutually rewarding experiences.”
