Twisters Gymnastics Team Competes In Chesapeake Invitational

The Twisters Gymnastics Team traveled to Baltimore to compete along with over 2,000 other gymnasts from around the region in the Christmas on the Chesapeake Invitational during the holidays and came home with several individual honors. Ivy Stearn, pictured above, won top all-around honors and finished first in her age group on vault and uneven parallel bars. Pending State Record Tog Caught By Philadelphia Man

Charlie Donahue of Philadelphia caught this 23-pound tautog, a pending Maryland state record, fishing aboard the “Morning Star” with Captain Monty Hawkins last Wednesday. The tog was 33 inches long and had a girth of 25 inches. The pending record tog took a whole green crab over Ocean City’s artificial reef system and was weighed at Ake Marine in West Ocean City and witnessed by DNR Biologist Steve Doctor. High Voltage All-Stars Have Strong Showing In Salisbury

The High Voltage All-Stars, a cheerleading team made up of young athletes from all over the local area including Ocean City and Berlin made a strong showing last weekend at an event in Salisbury. BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s varsity wrestling team turned in a strong performance at the 17th Annual Bob Rowe Memorial Classic last weekend at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center, collecting three individual championships and placing in numerous other weight classes. The annual Bob Rowe Memorial Classic, a mid-winter wrestling tournament honoring the former Wicomico High coach, was held last weekend at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center. Decatur Cagers Hit Mid-Season Slump

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s varsity basketball teams hit a mid-season mini-slump this week back-to-back losses by both teams. After beating Snow Hill in overtime last week, the Decatur girls have lost two straight to tough Bayside South opponents. BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s varsity indoor track teams turned in another great performance last week, with the boys finishing first in total team points and the girls coming in third. The Decatur boys finished with 89.58 team points to take first in the meet last Wednesday, and collected a few individual firsts along the way.
