Eastern Shore Club Wins National Title

BERLIN- The Eastern Shore Lacrosse Club last weekend captured a championship in their flight at the U.S. Lacrosse National Tournament in Stony Brook, N.Y.

The Eastern Shore club, made up of some of the top high school players from across the shore including several from Decatur and Worcester, participated in the National Tournament in New York last weekend and went 4-0 to capture the title in the Oneida flight. The local girls started their run to the championship with an 11-9 win over South Florida in their first game in the tournament last Saturday.

The Eastern Shore club then bet WNY-Rochester, 12-6, and Adirondack, 9-7, last Saturday. In the semifinals last Sunday, the Eastern Shore girls beat Colorado, 11-8, to advance to the title game. In the championship, the local girls beat Philly, 7-5, to win the national championship in the Oneida flight.
