5-Star Rating Awarded

SALISBURY – U.S. News and World Report recently awarded the Transitional Care Unit (TCU) at Peninsula Regional Medical Center a 5-Star overall rating for the quality of care provided to its residents in a July “Best Nursing Homes” report.

Peninsula Regional’s TCU was one of just 32 skilled nursing facilities in Maryland to earn the 5-Star designation, indicating it is performing “far above average” when compared to the other 15,500 nursing homes in the United States.

Peninsula Regional’s TCU was awarded 13 out of a possible 15 stars in the three categories U.S. News and World Report used to determine a center’s overall rating; Health Inspection, Nurse Staffing and Quality Measures.

“Organizationally, this is a wonderful honor to have,” said Gina Nanna, Peninsula Regional Medical Center TCU Administrator. “However, the real recognition goes to the nursing and rehabilitation staff that works day-to-day with our patients. Their caring and dedication is the reason that our patients routinely enjoy a very good experience.”

The Transitional Care Unit at Peninsula Regional Medical Center is a clinically staffed, skilled nursing facility that provides treatment for patients who no longer require inpatient care, but are in transition between returning home or moving into an extended care facility.

BETHANY BEACH, Del. – The community of Sunset Harbour at Bethany Beach is reaching out to those who have an interest in real estate and local business trends by hosting two seminars that are free to the public on Saturdays, Aug. 8 and 22 from 5-7 p.m.

“This is an open invitation to local residents and those visiting our resort

areas to get the straight facts about the real estate investing environment in the Delaware and Maryland resort areas,” said Mark McGreevy, principal of Caldera Communities who developed Sunset Harbour at Bethany Beach, a new community of waterfront homes located on Indian River Bay just north of Bethany Beach.

The seminars are entitled “What’s Really Up with Resort Real Estate?” The public is invited to hear the “real story” from a panel of local financial and real estate professionals.

“There is a distinct difference between the information that one might see on national television and what is actually taking place in our resort areas,” McGreevy said.  “Our Aug. 8 and 22 free seminars will address the fact that while some types of real estate financing are difficult to obtain on a national scale, the same types of financing in our local resort areas are plentiful, uncomplicated and affordable.”

The seminars are free to the public and those wish to attend are asked to RSVP by calling Sunset Harbour at 302-539-6731 or emailing [email protected].
