OC Rec Basketball Action Continues

OCEAN CITY- The Ocean City Recreation and Parks Department’s boys’ winter basketball league continued this week with a full slate of games at Northside Park. The following are some of the highlights from this week’s action:

(bullet) OC/Berlin Optimists 31- Ravens Roost 17: Thomas Dibuo led the Optimists with 11 points while Brett Berquist and Billy Wheatley added six each. Tyree Henry led the Ravens Roost with nine points while Alex Oatman added eight.

(bullet) OC Parrothead Club 19- Phillips Crabhouse 17: Elio Telo led the Parrotheads with eight points and Grant Donahue pitched in seven. Sean Colgan led Phillips with 10 points in the loss.

(bullet) Bonfire 41- OC FOP 34: Samuel Izzo scored 17 points and Monroe Green added 10 to lead the Bonfire over the FOP. Allen Justice scored a game-high 20 points for the FOP in defeat.

(bullet) OC Lions Club 48- Red Sun Apparel 32: Jovon Townsend scored 13 points and Colin May added 10 to lead the Lions over Red Sun. Fabian McCray scored 15 points and Avery Golden added 10 for Red Sun in the loss.

(bullet) OC Elks Lodge 60- OC Rec Center 25: Three players scored in double digits for the Elks including Wes Rhodes (16), Josh Mercer (12), and Drew Eckman (11). Kyle Hill and Matt Cooney led the OC Rec Center with six points apiece.

(bullet) La Hacienda 18- Park Place 15: Matt Kristick scored 10 points and Evan Conboy added four to lead La Hacienda over Park Place. Chris Leitgab scored seven of his team’s 15 points in the loss.

(bullet) OC/Berlin Optimists 18- Delmarva Irish 12: Alexander Canakis scored six points while Dawson Delaney and Major Hightower added four each to lead the Optimists over the Irish. Michael Barnes led the Irish with six points in defeat.

(bullet) Ember’s 16- OC Rec Boosters 14: Reginald Briddell and McLain Smith each scored six points to lead Ember’s to victory. Tate Shockley scored eight of the Booster’s 14 points in a losing effort.

(bullet) Atlantic General Hospital 44- OC Rec Boosters 27: Matthew LeCompte led AGH with 13 points, while Wyatt Richins and Charlie Pritchard each scored 10 points. Corey Gwin led the Boosters with eight points, while Zachary Eslin and Evan Heim each scored six points in the loss.

(bullet) OC Rec Boosters 25- Trimper’s Rides 24: Tate Shockley scored eight points and Darion McKenzie added seven to lead the Boosters over Trimper’s. Mark Smith scored a game-high 14 points for Trimper’s in the loss.
