BERLIN — Junior Achievement (JA) of Worcester County will be hosting its annual Adopt-A-School Dinner on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at the Ocean City Marlin Club in West Ocean City.

The event includes a casual cocktail hour, sit-down dinner, recognition of honored guests and both live and silent auction items donated by various business owners all over Worcester County.

“A little over $200,000 would ensure every child, K-12, in Worcester County an opportunity to JA’s hands on programs. Teaching them to live within their means, prepare for the world of work and understand the free enterprise system, enhancing to what they learn in school and linking them to real life applications,” said Jayme Weeg, Director for the Eastern Shore JA. “We help make school relevant and increase student’s engagement in the classroom.”

Tickets are $75 per person and are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The dinner will be catered by Black Diamond Catering and Debbie Meinhardt will be the Silent Auction organizer. To donate, contact Christine Selzer at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, 410-213-9084.
