McAvan Returns for 25th OC Soccer Camp

OCEAN CITY- Former Baltimore Blast player and coach, Bobby McAvan, will again lead Ocean City Recreation’s “For the Love of Soccer Camp” set for three separate four-day sessions this month including the first session that gets underway on Monday.

The “For the Love of Soccer” camp offers a superior instructional program for children of all ability levels. Coach McAvan promises each participant will dribble away with refined skills, a better knowledge of the international game of soccer along with wonderful summer memories.

The sessions run Monday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each week starting Monday, June 8 and concluding on the week of Monday, June 22.  The camp is open to both girls and boys ages 6 to 14 years.  All campers receive a soccer ball, pizza party and other giveaways as part of their participation in the camp.

“Bobby McAvan has been directing ‘For the Love of Soccer Camp’ for over 25 years in Ocean City and his camp turns out to be a camper favorite year after year,” said Ocean City Recreation supervisor Kim Kinsey.

The cost of the “For the Love of Soccer Camp” is $126.00 for Ocean City residents and $146 for non-residents. For registration or more information, contact the Ocean City Recreation and Parks Department at (410) 250-0125.
